We eat at Cracker Barrels all over the the country and love them, but the experience we just had at the Brunswick restaurant was awful. First of all, there were only a handful of people there. We all asked for drinking water, well, what we got had to have been the worst water we've ever drank ...tasted like it had been scooped out of a nearby swamp. When we told the waitress, she said that we must not be from the area because the people here are used to the sulfur taste. We had ro buy bottled water and soda. We received our biscuits and cornbread to be told that there was no plates because it was the change of shift and the dishwasher hadn't done them yet. Well, maybe management should be getting their act together to make sure the dishes are getting done or to roll up his sleeves and do them himself! My husband ordered his usual Hamburg steak medium rare and it was cooked well done and burnt on the bottom. The waitress offered to get another order, but we had waited long enough already and needed to get back on the road. None of these issues were addressed by management. It was the worst Cracker Barrel experience.
Cracker barrel is so consistent. I love stopping in when I'm getting a little tired of being on the road. Good food, good prices. Nothing fussy.
Love this place, one of my favorite restaurants to get good comfort food. Not to mention all the goodies in the store. I have a daughter and all the cute outfits they have to offer is so amazing. 5 stars and highly reccomend.
The last quarter of the year is an ideal time to visit the Cracker Barrel in Brunswick or any location. The store is filled with iconic Christmas items which really boost your Christmas spirit and put you in the mood to prepare for the holidays. The store is generally busier at this time of year meaning that anything you order on the menu will be served and it's fresh state. I order the cheeseburger on grilled sourdough bread accompanied with a slice of the seasonal pecan pie. Needless to say everything was absolutely perfect the pie was amazingly fresh. The crust was flaky and delicious.
Always the best place to eat. When we travel its right off the highway. Great food, country music, back of store to the right is clearance items. The antiques are amazing. Staff always helpful. There seems to always be one in site. I really like when the Manager takes the time to walk around and talk to the customers. I will always go to Cracker Barrell in any state.
